If you have multiple scanner devices you wish to delete repeat this process. Make sure not to delete the folder that contains the current device you are using. After doing this, just close the Registry Editor (no need to save as changes are made immediately). Now when you click on the Epson Scan Icon it should take you directly to the scan utility using your current device. Hope this helps.

I contacted Epson on this. On Mac OSX, I had a DX6050 and replaced with a BX635FWD, both appeared in list when using scan, even though the DX was disconnected.
